Command Integration Guide
This guide explains how to send specific commands to the Panasonic PTZ Camera handler.
Generic Command Format (HTTP CGI):
The handler communicates via HTTP GET requests to the /cgi-bin/aw_ptz endpoint. Commands are sent as URL parameters prefixed with '#'.
#PTS5050(Stop Pan/Tilt)#PTS2575(Pan Left, Tilt Up - example, speed values 00-99)#R00(Recall Preset 0)#O1(Power On)
Integration Examples (assuming device name "PANASONIC_PTZ"):
Via HTTP GET:
http://<FantaGo_IP>:<HTTP_PORT>/sendTo/PANASONIC_PTZ?cmd=%23PTS2575
Via TCP/UDP Listener:
PANASONIC_PTZ:#PTS2575
Remember to URL-encode the command string for HTTP GET requests if it contains special characters.
Panasonic PTZ Camera control — frequently asked questions
Does Fantago support Panasonic PTZ Camera?
Yes. Fantago includes a ready-made Panasonic PTZ Camera handler (version 1.2.1) that talks to the device over HTTP, default port 80. It is bundled with every licence and with the 60-day free trial — there is no per-device fee.
What protocol does the Panasonic PTZ Camera handler use?
HTTP, default port 80. Fantago connects straight to the device over your production network, so no gateway, middleware or vendor software is needed in between.
Can I control Panasonic PTZ Camera from a Stream Deck?
Yes. Every Panasonic PTZ Camera action can be mapped to an Elgato Stream Deck key, to a button on a custom Fantago touch panel, to a timed schedule, or to a logic flow triggered by another device — including devices from a different manufacturer.
Can I modify the Panasonic PTZ Camera handler?
Yes. The handler is a plain JavaScript file (panasonic_ptz.js) that you can download from this page, edit and drop back into Fantago. You can also write your own handler from scratch — see the Developer Guide.
