How to connect TSL UMD Tally to Fantago
- Open the Fantago Dashboard and click Add Device.
- Pick the TSL UMD (Tally) handler from the device type list (internal id
tsl_umd). - Enter the IP address of your TSL UMD Tally, then set protocol UDP and port
52116. - Save and connect. Fantago starts polling the device and publishes its feedback variables, ready to use in panels, sequences and logic flows.
- Drag the actions below onto a panel button, a Stream Deck key, a schedule or a logic flow node.

Command Integration Guide
This guide explains how to send TSL UMD commands.
TSL 3.1 Format:
18-byte fixed packet containing address, text and 4 tally bits.
Partial Updates:
TSL 3.1 normally requires sending all info at once. This handler tracks the last state, so you can update a single tally without changing the text.
Examples (using UI actions):
- Set TSL 3.1: Full update of text and all 4 tallies.
- Partial TSL 3.1: Toggle a single tally while keeping other tallies and text unchanged.

Does Fantago support TSL UMD Tally?
Yes. Fantago includes a ready-made TSL UMD (Tally) handler (version 1.1.0) that talks to the device over UDP, default port 52116. It is bundled with every licence and with the 60-day free trial — there is no per-device fee.
What protocol does the TSL UMD Tally handler use?
UDP, default port 52116. Fantago connects straight to the device over your production network, so no gateway, middleware or vendor software is needed in between.
Can I control TSL UMD Tally from a Stream Deck?
Yes. Every TSL UMD Tally action can be mapped to an Elgato Stream Deck key, to a button on a custom Fantago touch panel, to a timed schedule, or to a logic flow triggered by another device — including devices from a different manufacturer.
Can I modify the TSL UMD Tally handler?
Yes. The handler is a plain JavaScript file (tsl_umd.js) that you can download from this page, edit and drop back into Fantago. You can also write your own handler from scratch — see the Developer Guide.
