Command Integration Guide
This guide explains how to send specific commands to the Evertz Quartz Router handler.
Generic Command Format:
The handler expects text-based commands directly matching the device protocol. Examples:
.S[Level][Dest],[Src]$(to route a source to a destination, e.g.,.SAV1,2$).IV[Dest](to inquire current source for a destination, e.g.,.IV1).B[State],[Dest](to lock/unlock a destination, e.g.,.BL,1for Lock,.BU,1for Unlock).RS[Src](to request source label, e.g.,.RS1).RD[Dest](to request destination label, e.g.,.RD1)
Integration Examples (assuming device name "EVERTZ_ROUTER"):
Via HTTP GET:
http://<FantaGo_IP>:<HTTP_PORT>/sendTo/EVERTZ_ROUTER?cmd=.S%20AV1,2$
Via TCP/UDP Listener:
EVERTZ_ROUTER:.SAV1,2$
Remember to URL-encode the command string for HTTP GET requests.
Evertz Quartz Router control — frequently asked questions
Does Fantago support Evertz Quartz Router?
Yes. Fantago includes a ready-made Evertz Quartz Router handler (version 3.2.0) that talks to the device over TCP, default port 4000. It is bundled with every licence and with the 60-day free trial — there is no per-device fee.
What protocol does the Evertz Quartz Router handler use?
TCP, default port 4000. Fantago connects straight to the device over your production network, so no gateway, middleware or vendor software is needed in between.
Can I control Evertz Quartz Router from a Stream Deck?
Yes. Every Evertz Quartz Router action can be mapped to an Elgato Stream Deck key, to a button on a custom Fantago touch panel, to a timed schedule, or to a logic flow triggered by another device — including devices from a different manufacturer.
Can I modify the Evertz Quartz Router handler?
Yes. The handler is a plain JavaScript file (evertz_quartz.js) that you can download from this page, edit and drop back into Fantago. You can also write your own handler from scratch — see the Developer Guide.
Control Evertz Quartz Router from a single interface
Fantago drives Evertz Quartz Router alongside 50+ other broadcast, lighting, audio and smart home devices — from custom touch panels, an Elgato Stream Deck, a schedule or a logic flow. One-time licence, no subscription, runs offline.
